Trout fishing at it’s very best. We can provide you with a unique fishing opportunity very few people get to experience. We have exclusive rights to fish one of New Zealand’s largest farming stations. By helicopter we leave the thermal alpine village of Hanmer Springs and fly with your pilot to remote high country spots that are rarely fished, so the trout are large and put up a good fight.
The High Country Fishing Experience
This tour incorporates our famous Molesworth / Rainbow Tour with the addition of helicoptor fishing in one of the exclusive high country stations of New Zealand.
Surrounded by snow capped mountains and fresh bubbly flowing rivers, running through the glacial valleys that make for the perfect back drop for any fisherman that loves the outdoors.
Our base for two nights will be the alpine village of Hanmer Springs famous for its thermal hot pools and from here we will be helicopter to various fishing spots.
By helicopter two options are explored, Day two we fly to an 80,000 hectare high country station within 20 minutes flight time, where you can fish remote rivers only known by your pilot. Fishing in the truly remote high country. Trout in the double figures are common. The next day another helicopter flight to a completely different area of lakes and rivers where the fish jump and the water is clean and clear, surrounded by N.Z. Beech forests reaching down to river valleys where grassy areas are perfect for that ideal fishing spot.
At the end of each day relax in the hot thermal pools then afterwards dine at a fine restaurant with a glass of local wine while recalling the day’s fishing adventure.
Day four, travel through Molesworth and into Rainbow Station, returning to Blenheim with special memories of your exclusive high country fishing experience.
This tour is all inclusive with accommodation, great meals, a full commentary on the history, geography, flora, fauna, farming techniques of this high country region. A tour through Molesworth Station via the picturesque Awatere Valley, Rainbow Station and the Wairau vine valley are all part of this great holiday.
