Traveling south from Blenheim the tour begins where the Awatere River meets the Pacific Ocean here you can enjoy uninterrupted views to the high country and mountains beyond.

Travel south to the Flaxbourne district to visit an olive grower, enjoy morning tea at the house and a tour and tasting of their olive grove and boutique olive pressing plant. Discover Ward Beach where the local crayfish boats launch into the Pacific Ocean to check their catch.

Enjoy a country garden visit to Barewood Garden (a garden of NZ national significance) walk around the grounds with the owner and creator of this beautiful garden and enjoy a picnic lunch in the garden. A scenic drive to Yealands Winery for a tasting and learn about the creation and man behind the dream Peter Yealands. The building seems to belong to the landscape and has been created to be both functional and pleasing to the eye.

As well as good wine New Zealand is known for its sheep and beef farming, we have arranged for you to meet a local farmer on his 3rd generation farm fora chat about his operation, before returning to your accommodation by 5pm after a fabulous day out.
